"Braithre an Íl"
Monks of the Screw · CD/MC · Tim O'Shea guest
"There is no doubt in my mind that Monks of the Screw are the best group around at the moment because of their profound but lightly carried knowledge of material, their musicianship, and the confidence that comes from rootedness." Bernard O'Donoghue · Oxford University

A group from the Sliabh Luachra area of East Kerry/North Cork, renowned for their profound knowledge of material and outstanding musicianship. This music has been refined through the interpretation of several generations of musical geniuses, with Padraig O'Keeffe among the best known of many.
