Diese Musik ist gepržgt vom Clare & Kerry Stil. Tim O'Shea stammt aus Killarney.
Er gastierte auf dem 1995er Album der "Monks of the Screw", einer
Gruppe aus der Sliabh Luachra Gegend in Ost Kerry / Nord Cork. Er
spielt regelmžssig in Kerry und darber hinaus. Hier verleiht Tim seine
eigenen Interpretationen in 4 Liedern, begleitet auf Gitarre. Tim ist weit
gereist mit verschiedenen Combos und wird auch weiterhin die USA und grosse
Teile Europas touren. heard of The Monks of a Screw on a lorry with its boards down, as Ballydesmond
Fleadh Cheoil in the glorious summer of 1983, when the announcer wasn't
sure if the name was indelicate. He needn't have worried; it comes from
a drinking song from the great Newmarket constittional lawyer, John Philpot
Curran, father of Sarah, Robert Emmet's sweetheart. There was certainly
nothing indelicate about the group's wonderful playing which pulled in the
crowd from all parts of the sunny field. There is no doubt in my mind that Monks of the Screw are the best group around at the moment because of their profound but lightly carried knowledge of material, their musicianship, and the cofidence that come from rootedness. Patrick Kavavagh said that nothing can be universal that is not securely founded init's own parish. This music has been refined through the interpretation of several generations of musical geniuses, (Padraig O'Keeffe is one of the best known of many), is eloquent proof."
